Mikelic, Lisa

High School Player

Lisa Mikelic was and still is recognized as one of Danbury High School's most accomplished and decorated athletes. Lisa was an FCIAC 1st Tem selection in 1985, 1986, and 1987. Following her 1986 and 1987 seasons, Lisa earned the following recognition for her basketball achievements: USA Today Honorable Mention All-America; Street & Smith All-America Honorable Mention; New York Daily News First Team; Hartford Courant First Team All-State; and The Bridgeport Post named her Class AAA Player-of-the-Year and First Team selection.

Lemaire, Eleanor

Honorary

Ellie Lemaire joined the staff of Arnold College at the University of Bridgeport in 1964, and coached the only undefeated women's basketball team in the school's history. Very active in officiating, Ellie was both basketball chairperson, and board chairperson of Southwest Connecticut's Board of Women Officials from 1963 to 1966, and was Officiating Coordinator of the Eastern District from 1967 to 1969.

Poisson, Chickie

Chickie Poisson was a member of the Bridgeport and Southwest Connecticut Officiating Boards for 16 years. From the mid-1960’s through the mid-1970’s, Poisson officiated throughout the state at the high school and college games and in the recreational and industrial leagues. Poisson also contributed to growth of officiating by teaching courses and conducting training programs from 1958-1975.

Regan, Kathleen

College Player

Known as ‘Kregs” in her college days, Kathleen Regan graduated from Eastern Connecticut State College (ECSU) where she played both at the forward and center positions. Regan led her team to a four-year record of 71-22, and to a #1 Northeast Small College ranking. ECSU was the 1977 AIAW Northeast Champion and 1979 Connecticut Small College Champion.

Kehoe, Mary

High School Coach

Mary Kehoe recorded ten winning seasons for Brien McMahon High School from 1964-76.

Inglese, Cathy

High School Player

Cathy Inglese led her Sheehan (Wallingford) High School team to the 1976 Class L State Championship during her senior year. She was named to the All-Housatonic League and All-State Teams and was selected as Sheehan’s “Outstanding Athlete.”

Lis, Tracy

High School Player

Tracy Lis smashed the CT state scoring record while at Killingly High School. Her career total of 3,681 points has yet to be matched.

Judy Smith’s reputation for excellence in officiating was linked to her firm belief that consistently good officiating was central to the success of girls’ and women’s basketball.
