CWBHOF Inductees

Daigneault, Jaclyn
2022
College Player
Of her many individual accolades, there's one thing that tops all that when Jaclyn Daigneault looks back at her career. It was a Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, Illinois, that Daigneault and her Amherst College teammates won the Division III national championship of women's basketball, the first in program history, vanquishing five-time defending champion Washington University of St. Louis by a 64-55 margin.

Hanson, Ron
2022
High School Coach
Ron Hanson's lasting impact on girls' and women's basketball in Connecticut came during its formative years. The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Association held its inaugural girls' state tournament in 1974. Ron began coaching the girls' basketball team at Ellington High School in 1975.

Edwards-Smith, Queen
2022
College Player
It was in 2016, more than a decade after her career at Quinnipiac University ended, and Queen Edwards-Smith was chosen by her alma mater to be honored at the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, as part of "The MAAC Experience," a way for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference to recognize its all-time athletes.

Tieman, Margaret Elizabeth
2022
Referee
Margaret Tieman's expansive resume includes success at every level of playing, coaching and most recently officiating. She's garnered NCAA tournament experience as an official at the Division I, II and III levels dating back to 2006 - she refereed the Division III national championship game in 2010 and 2012; currently works for 13 Division I conferences including the SEC, ACC, and The Big 10; and has worked the Division I NCAA tournament since 2013.

Glenney, Marci
2019
High School Player
She was part of the fabric of the perennially successful program at Norwich Free Academy, leading the Wildcats to their first two state championships in program history as a junior and senior. That Marci Glenney went on to play in four NCAA tournaments for two of the finest Division I women's basketball teams in the nation, then, UConn and Clemson, was no surprise to those who knew her. "Marci is our most versatile player," Clemson coach Jim Davis said prior to her senior season.

Ulatowski, Ray
2019
Referee
It was from his playing career that Ray Ulatowski came to form an opinion on what should be called by an official and what seemed to him unnecessary. That he went on to be honored, first as a member of the Connecticut Scholastic and Collegiate Softball Hall of Fame as an umpire and as an inductee into the Connecticut Women's Basketball Hall of Fame as a 20-year referee, is the ultimate testament to his fairness.
