High School Coach

June Olah coached the Weston High School Girls’ Basketball team for ten years. During that same time, she was also the Athletic Director and responsible for developing a girls’ sports program for the newly created high school.

Cagenello, Stacey

College Player

Stacey Cagenello attended Lewis S. Mills High School and graduated in 1983. She played guard and forward for the basketball team. She scored 1,164 points and was named to the All-State and Prep High School All-American teams during her senior year.

Roche Price, Laurie

High School Player

Laurie Roche was an outstanding three-sport athlete at Guilford High School from 1976-1980. As a freshman, Roche received Honorable Mention All-State and First Team All-Shoreline in basketball. She led Guilford in scoring and rebounding throughout her career. She was the first Guilford player, male or female, to score 1,000 points and pull down 1,000 rebounds.

Ferraro, Patti

High School Player

Patti Ferraro excelled in three sports at North Branford High School from 1979-1982. Noted for exceptional shooting, Ferraro holds the North Branford HS record for career free throw percentage of 79%. In 1982, she scored a career high 38 points in a game. In her 4 year career there, Patti averaged 9.8 PPG, scored a total of 979 points, shot 84.3% from the free-throw line, and never missed a game. In Patti’s freshman year (1982), ECSU made its 1st NCAA Division III Tournament appearance.

Kolinsky, Bo

Honorary

Bo Kolinsky began his sports writing career with the Hartford Courant in 1973. Throughout his 28-year career, Bo concentrated primarily on state high school sports, including girls' basketball. In 1977, he was assigned responsibility for the Courant's statewide high school coverage. He was instrumental in initiating the All State/All Courant Athlete recognition program in 1983-1984. That program honors athletes in 21 sports.

Hart, Kelly A.

Kelly Hart was a multiple-sport athlete at Southington High School from 1979-1982. Her basketball prowess was exceptional. She averaged 25 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals to help her team to a 25-1 overall record and the Class LL State Championship in her senior year.

Sacca-Fabbri, Tricia

Tricia Sacca came to Fairfield University after an outstanding career at Delran High School in New Jersey where she set a school record 1,711 career points.
