Shipp, Gail

During her 22-year coaching career at Trumbull High School, Gail Shipp coached her teams to two undefeated seasons, won ten league division titles, F.C.I.A.C League Championships in 1973 and 1974, and the Class L State Championship in 1974. Her overall basketball record was 251-128.

Shipp was chosen to coach two senior All-Star Teams and in 1987, managed and coached the West Team at the 1987 Olympic Sports Festival held at Chapel Hill, N.C. That team eventually won the Gold Medal.

In 1981, Shipp was named Connecticut High School Coach of the Year, and in 1982 and 1989, she was named Region One Coach of the Year.
