Ann Marie Odoy excelled in three sports at Masuk (Monroe) High School. She captained the basketball team for three of her four years. She was named All-State for three years and in 1984, was named Converse Academic and Athletic All-American. During that period Odoy was the third-leading high school girl scorer in Connecticut.
At Boston College, Odoy captained the 1987-1988 team, and led the Eagles to the Big East finals enroute to becoming the college’s all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball. She was awarded the 1988 “Eagle of the Year Award” (School’s top Academic/Athletic Award) and was the first female basketball player inducted into the Boston College Hall of Fame.
Odoy left BC as their leading scorer, leader in assists, and leader in steals. She was a mem-ber of the Big East First Team and a Kodak District I All-American. In 2001, she was inducted into the Springfield Basketball Hall of Fame.
