Deeb, Judy

Judy Deeb developed an interest in basketball officiating during her freshman year at Southern CT State College when she was sent to referee junior high school games as part of a class. That interest developed into a passion and career which has lasted for 30 years.

Deeb refereed many CIAC State Tournament Games and was selected to officiate ten State Championship Games. One of her fondest memories is refereeing her first high school champi-onship at the SCSU Field House.

Deeb was a founding member of the Greater New Haven Board of Basketball Officials and worked with that organization for more than 20 years. She served as an Executive Board Member of the CT Board of Certified Basketball Officials and was its State chairperson for many years.
